A key takeaway from this video has to be the bottom-up nature of the development of the device. Children and young people from The Children’s Trust School, Linden Lodge School and beneficiaries of @theambertrust all contributed to the design. They played a vital role in the prototyping stages so that the Mugo’s features and usebility are driven by those with physical disabilities. Going forward, development will continue to be informed by beneficiaries, their families, and the practitioners that work with them. The Mugo is a collaboration between Sounds of Intent, The Amber Trust, Gawain Hewitt (Instrument developer), The University of Roehampton, and Technology in Music Education UK.
