Chapman Shum on Channel 4!
The amazing Chapman Shum has just been featured in Channel 4's The Piano, performing at Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 in Series 3, Episode 5. Chapman, who is blind and neurodiverse, first arrived in the UK at this terminal 3 years ago, so this was a full circle moment for him. This time, he transported others to his hometown of Hong Kong through music.
Adam, founder of Sounds of Intent and Professor of Music at the University of Roehampton meets with Chapman weekly. Through music, he inspires Chapman’s creativity and helps expand his musical and expressive range. During their sessions, music serves as a common language that has helped Chapman develop his social skills and engage more confidently with others.
